We are currently seeking to appoint an organised and knowledgeable Early Years Assessor to join our Apprenticeship department.
This role involves visiting learners to assess them in the workplace and onsite at the College on BTEC Level 3 specification. The post holder will manage a specific caseload, with key responsibilities for supporting and maximising students' learning journeys.
Your duties will include:
1. Managing communication with employers, work-based students/apprentices, ensuring all records comply with the required standards.
2. Carrying out administration for all work-based students/apprentices, maintaining accurate reports and documentation.
3. Monitoring and tracking student progress.
4. Completing key apprenticeship sign-up documents timely and to standard.
5. Conducting reviews regularly and recording them appropriately.
6. Liaising with lecturing staff on students' progress and target setting.
7. Carrying out placement observations in accordance with BTEC specifications.
This role may also include responsibilities for assessing practical skills demonstrations in the workplace.
The successful candidate must have:
* Work experience in a related role.
* An Assessing qualification.
* Previous assessing experience, ideally within FE.
* Experience teaching or tutoring Early Years in the FE sector.
* A Childcare/Health and Social Care qualification at Level 3 or higher (a degree is preferred).
* Minimum GCSEs or Level 2 equivalent in Maths & English.
