Hours of Work: The Maidstone Medical Clinic and Health Complex is an outpatient clinic with a Special Care Home attached (long‑term care). Extended hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.; Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
This site is a Collaborative Emergency Centre (CEC). The CEC provides urgent care after hours with the support of telehealth and off‑site paramedicine services.
Minimum Potential Salary: $391,237.00. Maximum Potential Salary: $452,949.00. Return for Service: 3. Method of Payment: Contract. Description: Blended Payment – Based on SMA Family Physician Compensation Grid.
Job Description
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a full‑time Family Physician to join the primary care physician group in Maidstone, SK, in the North West Area of the SHA. Maidstone Medical Clinic and Health Complex works with individuals and families through innovation and partnerships in a holistic manner, to achieve optimal levels of health.
As part of the Primary Care team, you will be responsible for providing clinical outpatient, inpatient, ER, long‑term care and on‑call services to residents of Maidstone and area.
The SHA is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the growing educational needs of medical students and residents from the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan.
This opportunity is eligible to receive the Rural Physician Incentive Program of up to $200,000! Recruitment and relocation stipend available of $15,000 for a commitment of 3 years or more to this community from the SHA.
Job Qualifications
This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high‑volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family‑centered care.
The successful candidate must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) and have current Saskatchewan Medical Association (SMA) coverage.
In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
The successful applicant is expected to participate in the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs of the Department of Medicine in the North West Area.

The Maidstone health care team comprises of 5 physicians, 1 nurse practitioner, as well as Community Services including Addictions, Public Health Nursing, Nutrition and Food Services, Home Care Chronic Disease Management (Diabetes/Cardiac) visiting specialists and other allied health professionals.
