Within this role, you will:
* Prepare desk studies and collate ornithological data sets.
* Prepare and plan field surveys, collaborating with colleagues.
* Implement surveys across the UK, as part of a survey team.
* Manage, analyse and interpret ornithological data.
* Contribute to consultancy reports and ornithological assessment.
* Contribute to wider business development activity

Location, Salary & Benefits:
This role has potential to be based at either the Glasgow or Edinburgh office, with the company offering very attractive hybrid and flexible working options including the option to WFH 3 days per week, and full-time or part-time (30 hours) options.
Salary for this role is circa £28,500 - £48,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits including:

About you:
We are open to considering applicants at Consultant, Senior or Principal level for this role.
You will need a minimum of 3 years Ornithology experience, or of Ecology experience with strong bird identification skills and fieldwork management within the energy generation and transmission sectors.
You will need an enthusiasm for working outdoors, and a willingness to work antisocial hours, away from home and in inclement weather conditions, while working positively and collaboratively with team members.
GIS, data management and 4x4 driving skills are highly desirable, as is knowledge of UK bird conservation priorities. A full UK driving licence is essential.
