Grade UE06: 34,610 to £39,906 per annum, pro rata. CAHSS / Moray House School of Education and Sport / Institute for Language Education. Part-time, Guaranteed Hours contract: approx. 246 guaranteed hours over the period of the contract (final details TBC upon appointment). Fixed term: 2 years.
The Opportunity
We are recruiting two Research Associates (RAs) to support and contribute to the delivery of a PTAS-funded project titled “Exploring International Students’ Awareness and Understanding of Decolonising the Curriculum in Teaching and Assessment Practices in UK Higher Education.” The project is based at the University of Edinburgh and will run from August 2025 to July 2027. The RAs will work closely with the project lead and each other to support various aspects of the research. They are expected to work collaboratively, complementing each other’s strengths and maintaining effective coordination throughout the project.
This is a Guaranteed Hours post that combines a mix of remote and on-campus working. This post is open to University of Edinburgh students only. The salary for this post is at UE06 £34,610 to £39,906 per annum, pro rata.
Your Skills And Attributes For Success
* Familiarity with and interest in equality, diversity and inclusion, and curriculum decolonisation
* Up to date knowledge of discourses and practices related to equality, diversity and inclusion
* Experience with developing and using mixed methods
* Experience with designing, conducting, and reporting project findings
* Ability to manage and analyse research data using tools such as Nvivo or similar
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work collaboratively to ensure complementary skills and workload balance
