Youth Justice Officer, Walsall
Qualifications:
Social Work qualifications are preferred but not mandatory. We also accept candidates with experience as Probation Officers, Youth Workers, or other relevant degrees, provided they have youth justice experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct assessments using tools like ASSET+ and PDAT
2. Develop and implement intervention plans to reduce offending
3. Prepare Pre-Sentence Reports and Referral Order Reports
4. Engage in court work and attend joint decision-making panels
5. Work on Duty Attendance and Referral Order panels
Location:
Base is Walsall Civic Centre; activities with children are across the Borough. Court sessions are in Wolverhampton. The team is expected to be in the office on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Pay Rate:
£33.30 per hour
