Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated MRI Radiographer to join our existing team. Alternately, we can provide training support to the right candidate who is self‑motivated and hardworking, and able to balance the challenges and opportunities of learning this modality.
About the role
This MRI service operates on three hospital sites with GE 1.5T, 3.0T and Philips 1.5T scanners, as well as a CDC facility. The MRI unit scans a wide range of paediatric and adult examinations and works 12.5 hours daily, 7 days per week, with a 3‑day shift pattern that includes weekends and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce high‑quality diagnostic images and provide high‑quality patient care in line with national guidelines and IR(ME)R 2000 legislation.
* Work independently and unsupervised within a specialised MRI unit, prioritising workloads.
* Provide motivation and training for junior staff.
* May undertake one or more of the following extended roles: Venopuncture, Representative at Trust‑wide meetings (e.g., improving working lives), Post‑graduate study.

The successful applicant will have:
* A high level of clinical expertise in MRI.
* Excellent communication skills and initiative.
* The ability to work efficiently and positively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to continual personal and professional development to benefit patients, the Trust, and the team.
Working Arrangements
The post holder must have a flexible approach to working life, with shift work across multiple sites, including weekends and bank holidays.
