Care Assistant
Location: Howbury House, Pickersleigh Grove, Malvern
Salary: £20,105 to £20,420 per annum (based on 30 hours per week)
Hours: 19.25 to 24 hours per week (shift patterns: 07:30‑15:30, 15:30‑22:00, 08:00‑21:00, 08:00‑13:00, 17:00‑21:00; alternate weekends and bank holidays)
Team: Howbury House (32‑bed residential home providing care and support for people living with dementia; registered with Care Quality Commission; permanent position)
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities and medical care as required
* Listen and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with residents, families and team members
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and take initiative where appropriate
* Treat residents with dignity and respect, recognising individual rights and needs
* Support residents in a caring and compassionate manner, enhancing their quality of life
Qualifications & Requirements
* Ability to listen and communicate orally and in writing
* Experience or willingness to work in a team environment
* Compassionate, caring, motivated and able to work independently when needed
* Understanding of the rights and needs of older people and a commitment to treat them with dignity and respect
