Join the Close Brothers Controls Design & Oversight Team where you will be accountable for designing, establishing, and embedding a consistent control reporting and management information capability across the Bank. Working as part of the Controls Design & Oversight team our ideal team member will have previous experience in controls, risk, or compliance reporting within a regulated financial services environment with excellent attention to detail, with a strong focus on data quality, consistency, and integrity. RESPONSIBILITIES Design, establish, and embed a controls reporting and MI framework across the Bank, covering controls effectiveness, testing outcomes, issues, remediation and attestations Act as the central point of contact for the GRC system (MetricStream), serving as the business SME for controls reporting, data and process usage Act as a core member of the Controls Centre of Excellence, supporting the build out and maturity of Group wide controls capability Support the design, delivery, and reporting of Provision 29 attestation, supported by testing of material controls and key dependency controls performed by the Controls Governance team Empower, develop and engage team members in an inclusive culture through coaching, mentoring and team-development in order to increase the performance of the individual and the team. Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required. WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE: Demonstrable experience of designing, establishing, and embedding management information and reporting frameworks Solid appreciation of internal control frameworks, including control design, effectiveness assessment, issue management and remediation tracking Hands on exposure to GRC platforms (e.g. MetricStream, Archer, ServiceNow GRC, or equivalent) Strong data analysis and visualisation capability, with experience producing dashboards and insight driven MI (e.g. PowerBI or equivalent) An ability to translate complex controls and risk data into clear, concise, senior level reporting that enables effective governance and challenge Acted as a business SME or product owner for a platform or reporting capability, coordinating across business users, IT teams, and vendors IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE: Experience supporting Controls Committees, Risk and Compliance Committees, or Board level meetings Knowledge of the UK Corporate Governance Code, including Provision 29 management attestation, or equivalent control effectiveness requirements Coordinated control attestation processes Driven process standardisation, automation, or continuous improvement Professional certification in risk or controls.
