The position involves working Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
We are seeking a Band 3 Recovery Peer Support Worker for the East Renfrewshire Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service. The successful candidate will have personal lived experience of substance use and recovery, and will use this experience to inspire confidence and hope among service users, demonstrating that recovery is achievable.
The post involves being a key part of a multidisciplinary team, leveraging lived experience and knowledge to support individuals in their recovery journeys.
This role is part of a broader strategy to embed lived experience at the core of our service delivery in East Renfrewshire.
With strong listening skills and an understanding of factors that aid or hinder recovery, the post holder will utilize their personal experience to help others reach their own recovery goals. Successful applicants will collaborate closely with health professionals, have access to leadership and support, and participate in various learning and development opportunities to perform effectively and advance their personal growth.
