We are seeking a Planning & Forecast Analyst to join our team. This role involves developing and maintaining accurate short, mid, and long-term forecasts to ensure supply aligns with customer demand, in accordance with inventory policies. The analyst will work independently to maintain service levels within the Supply Chain, build relationships with partners, customers, and third-party warehouses, and lead improvement projects within Planning and Supply Chain functions.
Essential Functions
1. Support the monthly SIOP process and act as backup for the Supply Chain Manager in key meetings.
2. Balance demand with supply within inventory targets using demand planning tools.
3. Collaborate with Sales, Product Managers, and Marketing to review and agree on demand forecasts.
4. Monitor customer order trends and identify forecast improvements.
5. Maintain forecasts aligned with inventory and business rules.
6. Manage supply issues and develop alternative delivery plans.
7. Oversee New Product Introduction and End of Life processes to minimize slow-moving and excess inventory.
8. Work with Sales and Product Managers to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
9. Report on KPIs such as Inventory, Forecast Accuracy, Fill Rate, and others.
10. Document processes and create training materials for reports and tools.
11. Build relationships across functions to gather data and advocate for supply chain needs.
Essential Skills/Knowledge
1. Experience in Demand Planning and/or Inventory Planning.
2. Familiarity with Amazon, BTC, and SAP is a plus.
3. Knowledge of Data Science techniques such as Decision Trees, Regression, Naïve Bayes, k-Means, Neural Networks is advantageous.
4. Proficiency with Logility or similar planning software.
5. Commercial and financial awareness.
6. Self-motivated with curiosity and analytical skills to identify root causes.
7. Ability to develop tools and processes for data analysis and process improvement.
8. Effective communication skills across organizational levels, including delivering difficult messages and resolving conflicts.
