They're seeking an energised and experienced Partner to lead a recently acquired and integrated practice. With a strong reputation for client service, innovation, and people development, the firm is among the top 40 accountancy practices in the UK. Following the acquisition of a reputable local practice, this new leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the future of the office, based in Burnley.
The Role
This is a rare and exciting chance to join a modern, rapidly expanding professional services firm at Partner level (or Director with a clear roadmap to Partner within 6-12 months). You will lead the Burnley office, managing its integration into the wider firm while maintaining a strong local presence and client focus.
The role combines strategic leadership with operational responsibility, offering the chance to influence culture, service delivery, and growth. You will also manage key client relationships, mentor team members, modernise processes, and identify new business opportunities.
The Duties
* Office Leadership
: Oversee full operations of the Burnley office and ensure smooth integration into the wider group.
* Client Engagements
: Lead and maintain high-value client relationships across audit, tax, and advisory services.
* Business Development
: Drive growth via new client acquisition, service expansion, and collaboration with the wider firm.
* Cultural Integration
: Foster a high-performing, inclusive office culture aligned with the firm's values.
* Modernisation
: Implement best practices and digital tools to enhance service and operations.
* Team Development
: Recruit, train, and retain talent; promote learning and succession planning.
* Strategic Input
: Contribute to group-wide strategy alongside other senior leaders.
The Candidate
* Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent).
* Experience at Partner, Director, or senior management level in a professional services environment.
* Background in audit, tax, accounting, or advisory services.
* Proven commercial acumen and business development experience.
* Experience advising SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and/or corporates.
* Experience with office/team integration post-acquisition is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Interest in modernising practice through digital/cloud solutions.
