Farm Manager – Farm Management Specialist

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Farm Manager to join our team at a busy, family-friendly farm attraction open to the public all year round.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on farming while also being part of a visitor‑focused environment – combining animal care, team collaboration, and public engagement.
The Role
As Farm Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the farm. You’ll ensure high standards of animal welfare while helping create an engaging and educational experience for visitors.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily care and management of farm animals
* Take the lead on sheep welfare and ensure best practices are followed
* Maintain high standards of animal welfare, hygiene, and husbandry
* Manage feeding routines, health checks, and general livestock care
* Support breeding programmes and seasonal farm activities
* Maintain enclosures, paddocks, and overall farm presentation
* Deliver talks, demonstrations, and interactive visitor sessions
* Support school visits, events, and peak holiday periods
* Work closely with the wider farm and visitor experience team
About You
* Proven experience in farm or livestock management
* Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with sheep
* Solid understanding of animal welfare and husbandry standards
* Confident, friendly, and comfortable engaging with the public
* Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong problem-solving skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Agricultural qualification (desirable but not essential)
