Overview
ADM Agriculture operates from locations throughout the UK and offers a people-based quality service to farmers and consumers. As well as providing an integrated supply chain to ADM’s UK assets in milling and oilseed crushing, ADM Agriculture supplies a full range of non-grain feed ingredients to the feed and fuel markets, alongside a comprehensive range of seed and fertiliser products.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and manage accounts receivable to identify overdue payments.
* Contact customers primarily by phone, followed up via email to collect outstanding debts.
* Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer interactions.
* Collaborate with internal departments to assist with resolving issues.
* Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and company procedures related to collections.
* Provide exceptional customer service whilst maintaining professionalism and empathy.
* Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable Department.
* Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process.
* Be proactive, hard-working and able to communicate and follow up effectively with stakeholders regarding customer accounts on a timely basis.
* Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with traders and sales.
* Document steps taken in the collection system GetPaid.
* Prepare weekly reports for the assigned unit.
* Support projects relevant to collections.
* Any other reasonable duties as requested by business managers.
Your Profile
* Focussed and results oriented; a high performer in problem-solving and decision-making.
* Proven experience as a Collections Specialist, AR Clerk or similar role.
* Excellent communication and team-working skills.
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities.
* Assertive, target-driven and autonomous work approach.
* Commitment to excellent customer service.
* Basic accounting knowledge, especially of billing and collections procedures, will be an advantage.
* Relevant working experience in international agricultural business or in a collection agency is desirable.
* Banking, commercial or administrative apprenticeship or comparable.
* Excellent language skills in English; other languages are considered a plus.
