Many Paraplanners aspire to become Financial Planners.
Few opportunities offer a genuine route to get there.
Our client, a highly regarded Chartered Financial Planning practice, is looking to recruit an ambitious Paraplanner who wants to transition into a client-facing advisory career within a supportive and structured environment.
Rather than remaining solely focused on technical report writing and research, you will be given the opportunity to develop the skills, confidence and experience needed to become a successful Financial Adviser, supported by experienced mentors and a business committed to long-term career development.
This position offers the ideal platform for someone who enjoys the technical side of financial planning but is ready to become more involved in client relationships, strategy discussions and ultimately delivering advice.
The Business
This independent Chartered wealth management firm has built a strong reputation for delivering personalised financial planning to high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners.
The firm combines technical excellence with exceptional client service and has created a culture where talented professionals are encouraged to progress their careers. Their advisers, paraplanners and support teams work collaboratively, creating an environment where development and professional growth are genuinely supported.
The Role
Initially, you will work alongside experienced Financial Planners, supporting the delivery of holistic financial planning advice across pensions, investments, retirement planning, protection and tax-efficient strategies.
As your experience develops, you will become increasingly involved in client meetings, review discussions and recommendation presentations, allowing you to build the practical skills required to move into an advisory capacity.
Over time, the successful candidate will progress towards managing client relationships and delivering advice directly, supported by a structured development pathway.
Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For
• Previous experience as a Paraplanner within an IFA or Wealth Management environment
• Diploma qualified or actively progressing towards Level 4
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments and financial planning
• Experience producing suitability reports
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ambition to move into Financial Advice
• Professional, proactive and commercially aware approach
• Desire to continue developing both technically and professionally
What's Available
• Clear progression pathway towards Financial Planner status
• Mentoring from experienced and successful advisers
• Hybrid working and flexible culture
• Competitive basic salary and bonus structure
• Ongoing professional development support
• Exposure to high-quality clients and complex planning work
• Support towards Chartered qualifications
