Your new role
As an Indirect Tax / VAT Senior Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality VAT and indirect tax advice to a diverse client base, while also supporting internal teams and contributing to business development.Your responsibilities will include:
1. Advising clients onplex VAT and indirect tax matters across sectors including owner-managed businesses, listedpanies, and multinationals
2. Managing VAT projects, HMRC enquiries, ADRs, and First-tier Tribunal cases
3. Supporting M&A transactions with VAT input on acquisitions and disposals
4. Delivering internal and client presentations and writing technical articles
5. Identifying and promoting VAT service opportunities with clients and intermediaries
6. Delegating and reviewing the work of junior team members, providing constructive feedback and guidance
7. Managing team operations including appraisals, billing, and people development
8. Staying up to date with technical developments and sharing insights across the firm

What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
9. CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification
10. Proven experience in VAT advisory and project management
11. Strong technical knowledge of UK VAT and indirect tax legislation
12. Ability to deliver practical,mercial advice andmunicateplex issues clearly
13. Experience managing HMRC enquiries and VAT aspects of corporate transactions
14. A proactive approach to business development and relationship building
15. Strong leadership and mentoring skills
16. Excellent written and verbalmunication skills
17. A collaborative mindset andmitment to continuous improvement
