Overview of the Property and Planning Lawyer position
Sellick Partnership are pleased to be currently recruiting a Property and Planning Lawyer to join a busy but friendly London Council. Our client is looking for a qualified Lawyer who has experience dealing with both property and planning law to join their team on a permanent basis. This opportunity is on a hybrid working basis, with a preference for one to two day per week in the office, our client is ideally seeking someone who is able to work full-time hours. This role is a brilliant opportunity for a qualified lawyer who is looking to further their career in collaborative team who get a really interesting variety of work.
Key responsibilities of the Property and Planning Lawyer
* Dealing with a variety of residential and commercial property as well as planning work
* Dependant on experience, taking on a more complex caseload and assisting with supervision of the more junior members of the team
* To advise and have conduct of legal files on behalf of all the clients of the council, including local authorities, housing associations and schools
* To deputise for others in more senior positions as and when required
Experience/qualifications required for the Property and Planning Lawyer position
* Must be a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx) with a current practicing certificate - all PQE levels will be considered
* Able to work on a hybrid basis one day per week in the office
* This role requires someone who is able to work full-time, part-time requests will be considered
* You must have strong experience in property and/or planning law ideally from local authority but candidates from other sectors are encouraged to apply
