We now have exciting permanent opportunities for motivated and suitably qualified Project Support Officers to join our Technical Communities based in South West England. Join us and contribute to the mega-infrastructure project at Hinkley Point C (HPC).
The Role
This position involves supporting several project managers to deliver the HPC Project engineering contract, ensuring compliance with contract terms, schedule, and quality standards.
Key Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities
The primary responsibility is to support the Responsible Designer (RD) Contract Project Managers in managing the RD Contract, ensuring timely, safe, and quality engineering delivery in line with contract terms.
Other responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
* Supporting contract delivery to meet safety, time, budget, and technical requirements.
* Monitoring and managing client governance processes, tracking progress against milestones, deadlines, and budget.
* Coordinating meetings, producing documentation, reports, and providing guidance.
* Anticipating, managing, and resolving issues within the contract, escalating when necessary.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in Project Management or Engineering on large or complex projects is desirable.
* Knowledge of NEC contracts.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Coordination and leadership abilities.
* Decision-making and escalation skills.
* Budget and commercial awareness.
* Quick learner with a problem-solving approach.
* Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
