Multi-Trader / Carpenter & Decorator (with Surveying Responsibilities)
Salary: £47,500 – £55,000 per year (depending on experience)
We are looking for an experienced Multi-Trader to join our growing team, covering Dartford and the Essex area. This role combines on-the-tools work with surveying and assessment duties, so strong attention to detail and good reporting skills are essential.
The Role
* Carrying out multi-trade works across residential and commercial properties
* Strong focus on Carpentry and Decorating (essential)
* Attending call-outs and reactive maintenance jobs
* Surveying incoming jobs, assessing scope of works, materials, access, and time requirements
* Producing clear job reports, measurements, and recommendations for follow on works
* Liaising with the office to support pricing, scheduling, and job planning
* Updating job details, photos, and notes using computer-based systems
* Working on schools and public buildings, as well as private properties
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Multi-Trader
* Strong Carpentry and Decorating skills
* Experience carrying out job surveys or condition assessments
* Confident measuring, identifying remedial works, and reporting accurately
* General admin and computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, job management systems)
* Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for surveys, photos, and reporting
* Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
* CSCS card – required
* DBS check – preferred (or willing to obtain)
* Full UK driving licence preferred
* Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach
