The Surgical Day Case Unit and Common Admissions Lounge is a dynamic and efficient ward which has opportunities for development in a career pathway in a variety of specialities within the surgical and anaesthetic speciality. We are looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic, caring and compassionate staff nurses who want the challenge of delivering high quality, patient-centred care in a busy and dynamic ward, and has the quality attributes to adapt to the diversity of the role. Working on a busy surgical ward you will gain wide exposure to all surgical specialties whilst gaining competency in many clinical skills. Previous surgical experience is not required as we offer a supportive and tailored development programme with clinical education and a supernumerary period. We operate a 12.5 hour shift pattern which may include days and some weekend and night shifts.
