An exciting and new opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacy technician registered with the GPhC with extensive post qualification experience to join our pharmacy team.

The NHS Fife Pharmacy & Medicines Service serves a population of approximately 380,000 people and is provided by an integrated team of around 200 Pharmacy staff, including Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Support Staff, Nurses, and Administrators. The team works across Acute and Community hospital sites, General Practices, Mental Health services, and a range of specialist teams. Partnership working is at the core of our values, and we work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, including our Community Pharmacy colleagues, to deliver the highest quality care for everyone in Fife.

As Specialist Pharmacy Technician - Aseptic Dispensing Services, you will provide operational leadership and management of the Aseptic Dispensing Unit. You will use your expert knowledge to ensure safe, high-quality preparation and supply of aseptically dispensed medicines.
You must be able to work independently and as part of the pharmacy team and wider multidisciplinary team. You will be an excellent communicator who has the ability to build good relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals. You must have experience of managing staff and leading a team

To meet the needs of the service, you will work variable shifts between 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday and participate in a weekend and public holiday rota.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
