An Exciting Opportunity to Join Our Dynamic Purchasing Team! We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to join our fast-paced Purchasing Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in managing and scheduling a defined supplier base, predominantly supplying components used in general assembly. This role is ideal for someone with strong supply chain experience and a passion for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Manage supply chain deliveries in line with ERP requirements Execute MRP, KANBAN, and JIT ordering strategies Maintain and manage the order book to ensure accuracy and on-time deliveries Monitor and manage negative stock reports Proactively identify and mitigate potential shortages Collaborate with suppliers to resolve delivery and missing part issues efficiently Drive and improve OTIF (On Time In Full) performance across your supplier base Maintain accurate and appropriate ordering parameters within the system Resolve invoice queries with internal and external stakeholders About You: We’re looking for someone who is: Meticulous and highly conscientious in their approach to tasks Confident, motivated, and flexible, with a proactive mindset A strong communicator with the ability to build effective relationships internally and externally A team player who thrives in collaborative environments Calm under pressure, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines Strong IT literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Experience working with ERP systems and an understanding of how they integrate with operations Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production environments Excellent planning and communication skills A solid understanding of project and production planning Proven ability in planning and scheduling within a fast-moving supply chain environment Desirable Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX (preferred but not essential) Strong written and verbal communication skills
