We are seeking to recruit a Senior Social Worker to join our Children & Families team based in Wishaw. The role involves providing professional leadership and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Children & Families are part of North Lanarkshire Council’s Education and Families Directorate. You will support the management team in integrating Children & Families services within the new structure, while maintaining effective partnership working with adult social care services, NHS Lanarkshire, Police Scotland, Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire, and other key partners.
We value partnership working to improve outcomes for children, young people, and their families. Our practice is guided by frameworks such as GIRFEC, child protection, and care experienced young people. We promote innovative and evidence-based approaches, supported by continuous self-evaluation and improvement.
You will need strong leadership skills to motivate staff and ensure effective service delivery focused on quality outcomes.

Essential qualifications and experience include significant post-qualifying experience, leadership skills, knowledge of risk assessment frameworks, and excellent communication skills.
