We support global clients in automotive electrical and electronics systems development and are recruiting an Automotive Feature Systems Engineer for our UK client.
This role offers a unique opportunity to develop cutting-edge vehicle sub-system features and technologies. The position involves ownership of features from concept through development to production, especially in the context of electrification and automation in automotive industry innovations.
Position Responsibilities
1. Apply Systems Engineering principles to design new features meeting customer needs.
2. Lead development of features from early concept to production, managing upgrades and migrations.
3. Develop and understand network, wiring, and power distribution schematics and block diagrams.
4. Allocate features across electronic modules to meet cost, quality, and performance targets.
5. Create feature specifications, Failure Mode Avoidance documents, and verification plans.
6. Review system designs for cost or quality improvements.
7. Collaborate with teams and suppliers to incorporate new technologies.
8. Analyze systems and implement innovative solutions.
9. Lead trade-off discussions and communicate complex issues clearly.
10. Use data analytics to understand customer needs deeply.
Skills required:

Skills preferred:

* Experience with systems engineering V model and electrical testing.
* Understanding of software development processes.
Experience required:
* Minimum 3 years in vehicle electrical systems or features.
* Experience with quality documents and electrical testing.
Experience preferred:
* Design and networking knowledge in electrical modules, wiring, and power distribution.
* Electrical D&R experience and software development knowledge.
Education required:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
Education preferred:
* Master’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
