Design & Technology Early Careers Teacher – Braintree, Essex
Location: Braintree, Essex
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner if available)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
Our client, a well-regarded and forward-thinking secondary academy based in Braintree, Essex, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Careers Teacher (ECT) of Design & Technology to join their thriving department.
This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality Design & Technology education and is eager to make a positive impact on students’ learning experiences. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and innovative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 in Design & Technology (specialism in Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Textiles welcomed)
Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential through high-quality teaching and learning
Contribute to the development of the D&T curriculum and participate in extra-curricular and enrichment activities
Work collaboratively with colleagues to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Demonstrate commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
QTS or pending QTS status (with a PGCE or equivalent qualification in Design & Technology)
A strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Design & Technology education
A commitment to continuous improvement and reflective practice
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities
A desire to grow professionally within a supportive and ambitious school setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
