Salary: Up to £26,500 per annum, dependent on experience.

About The Role
As a Health & Safety Coordinator, you will work alongside experienced H&S professionals to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our safety management systems. You will gain hands on experience within the engineering, machining and foundries sectors learning how to translate legislation and best practice into real world solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Assist in carrying out risk assessments, inspections, and audits
* Support incident investigations and help identify corrective actions
* Contribute to the development of safe systems of work and training materials
* Support with monitoring compliance with internal policies and relevant legislation
* Help drive engagement in health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives
* Prepare clear reports and documentation for internal stakeholders
* Assist in management of PPE across the site
* Involvement in emergency preparedness
* Encouraging engagement through the behavioural safety programme
* Handling and recording critical health and safety data
* Handle confidential data with discretion

You’ll Need
* Basic knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to analyse information and present findings clearly
* A practical, solutions focused mindset with a keen eye for detail
* A degree or qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Health/Science, or a related field is preferred but not essential
* Experience from a placement, internship, or part time role (desirable but not essential)
* Willingness to work towards health and safety qualifications
* Ability to travel to site
