Project Engineer Opportunity (COMAH SITE) - Contract Role in Loughborough
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our client's team on a key project based in Loughborough. This opportunity will involve working on a challenging and complex programme involving cooling towers, including removal, installation, and decommissioning activities. This contract role extends until 2027 and offers a day rate of £425 (outside IR35, no expenses). Work is required on site 5 days a week.
Key Skills and Experience
* COMAH Site Experience: Proven ability to operate in high‑hazard environments adhering to stringent safety and compliance regulations.
* Cooling Towers and Legionella Training: Hands‑on knowledge in the removal, installation, and management of cooling towers, with an understanding of legionella control procedures.
* Mechanical Expertise: Competence in mechanical systems applied to the programme specifics.
* Safety and Compliance: Familiarity with CDM (Construction Design and Management) compliance, with safety qualifications such as SMSTS and first aid as a minimum being considered advantageous.
* Automation and Documentation: Proficiency in automating processes and maintaining detailed project documentation.
* Programme and Budget Management: Ability to manage complex project schedules and budgets efficiently, ensuring milestones are met on time and within financial constraints.
* Leadership and Stakeholder Management: Strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills to navigate project challenges with internal and external stakeholders.
