The Offices are located on the river Tees with close access to walks, shops and restaurants. The Opportunity We are now recruiting for a Head of Technical Assurance. In this role you will implement and continuously improve a formal, capable and independent px technical and engineering structure. Covering all operational areas, delivering rigorous engineering governance and technical support through supporting systems, processes and procedures. You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the development, own, deliver and drive the group’s overall technical vision and roadmap for the success of the group. Define technical principles for safe compliant operations, project decisions and technology selection decisions. Ensure systems and processes are scalable, secure, and maintainable to all assets within the portfolio. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate and in line with contracting strategies. Ensure the business structure depicted within the Group Operating Standard is owned, adhered to by all team members and indirect reports on operational and non-operational assets. Lead, coach, mentor and develop engineering managers, leads as necessary. Establish and implement engineering compliance & best practices. More responsibilities can be found in the Role Profile Minimum Requirements Degree qualified in an engineering discipline, or equivalent In-depth experience of operating within high hazard environments. Registered with a professional body. Relevant experience in maintaining and managing effective relationships with both internal and external personnel. Committed to self-development.
