About Us

Holbrook Primary School is a popular and highly-regarded two-form entry primary school located in Horsham, with 420 pupils from Reception to Year 6. We value professional relationships and work hard to create a healthy school culture that is focused on engaging learning and excellent teaching, underscored by a warm and welcoming nature with pupils, teachers, support staff, parents and the community at large. Job Details

Salary: MPS/UPS + SEND Allowance (dependent on experience)

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Location: Holbrook Primary School

Interviews: 1st July 2026


What You Need to Succeed

* Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a strong track record of supporting pupils with SEND and raising achievement
* Hold the National SEND qualification (or be willing to achieve it within the required timeframe)
* Demonstrate a secure understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching approaches
* Lead and develop effective SEND provision across the school
* Work collaboratively with teachers/support staff to improve outcomes for pupils with additional needs
* Provide guidance, support and training to colleagues to enhance inclusive practice
* Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers and external agencies
* Play a key role in safeguarding as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
* Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school
* Demonstrate excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
