Finance Assistant We are recruiting for a full time Finance Assistant to join a company based in Stevenage on a permanent basis. You will be working within a small finance team that has a busy but relaxed atmosphere. The hours are Monday to Friday, working either 9am - 4.30pm or 8:30am - 4pm (with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break). This is a fully office-based role with free parking on-site and paying a salary of £27,300 per annum. Duties will include but not be limited to: Dealing with customers payment queries via phone and email in a timely manner Updating and maintaining financial accounts and documentation Reconciling bank statements, payments and receipts Managing sales and purchase ledger to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts Processing invoices and monthly payment runs Monitoring overdue accounts, issuing reminders and negotiating payments Requesting and entering customer Purchase Orders onto invoices and submitting via the portalsTo be successful for this position, you must have at least 5 years' experience within Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger, as well as 3 years' experience within Credit Control and confident chasing debt via email and telephone. You must also have strong knowledge using Sage Line 50 and MS Excel - Pivot tables and VLOOKUPS. You must have excellent communication and organisation skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
