Job Title: Machine Cleaner Responsible to: Maintenance Manager About the Role: Responsible for cleaning of all Shima type knitting machines. This is a permanent role, working 38 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 7am – 3:30pm and Friday 7am – 2:30pm. Rate of pay is starting from £13.45 per hour. Key Responsibilities: Daily cleaning of all Shima type knitting machines Conducting deep cleans using bed cleaning machine, as and when necessary Spotting any wear and tear of machinery at an early stage and informing the mechanical team to rectify Ensure machines are ready for knitting after cleaning Keeping knitting area clean and tidy Health & Safety Ensuring own and others safety before, during and after machine clean About You Have previous experience working in a similar role or be willing to learn Have an interest in knitting and textiles Have strong interpersonal skills with people at all levels Be able to plan and prioritise your own workload and deal with conflicting deadlines Be proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude About Us Founded in 1797, Johnstons of Elgin is an innovative, luxury clothing brand celebrating 225 years of experience in working with the world’s finest fibres.
