Learning Support Assistant Location: Peterlee Working hours: 8:30-4:30 Contract: Temporary, long term Leader Education are searching for a Learning Support Assistant who is ready to make a genuine, lasting difference. You will be joining a respected specialist school that supports children and young people aged 2–19 with a diverse range of special educational needs, including complex learning difficulties, autism, communication needs, social, emotional and mental health needs, and physical disabilities. Responsibilities Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support in line with individual education plans. Support the delivery of differentiated lessons to meet a range of learning needs across the curriculum. Track, document and report on pupil progress, sharing clear feedback with teaching staff. Encourage independence and foster positive attitudes towards learning. Facilitate the growth of communication, social and essential life skills. Apply behaviour management strategies consistently in accordance with school policy.
