Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Full time)
Pay
£93 to £100 per day (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
This role will begin in September 2026 and is for at least two terms. There is a strong possiblity that this role could become permanent.
The School and Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to provide high-quality learning support, helping pupils reach their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities
2. Assist in the planning and preparation of lessons, resources, and displays
3. Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs
4. Monitor and record pupils’ progress and provide feedback to teachers
5. Help maintain a positive, orderly classroom environment
6. Promote inclusion and support the emotional and social development of pupils
7. Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and on school trips as required
Requirements:
The desired Level 2 Teaching Assistant will have:
8. Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
9. A full UK driving licence and access to a car
10. Experience working with children in a school setting
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
12. A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learning
13. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
14. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
