The School and Role
A Primary School in Chester-le-Street (DH2 area) is currently seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis from January 2026. The role of the Primary Teaching Assistant will be working across Nursery and Year 3 classes to provide general support to pupils. Someone will experience of working across this area of the Primary age phase would be desired. This is a 1.5 form entry Primary School, where staff work together to ensure all pupils have access to meaningful learning opportunities. There is a car park for all staff at the school.
Requirements
The desired Level 3 Primary Teaching Assistant will have;
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
