The role:
The Hotel Service Department function aims to achieve delivery of a quality service for Integrated Services, Catering Sevices, Divisionwide Driving Services, Divisionwide Ground Maintenance and Centralised Switchboard services.
Integrated Service function is to achieve delivery of a quality service for:
1. Core Cleaning
2. Catering Related Duties
3. Patients Personal Clothing Service
4. Porter/Messenger Services
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
Permanent, Part time
Base location - Easterhouse health Centre
Shift Pattern - Monday - Friday 0545-0845
Key responsibilities:
5. Supervise and assist in all aspects of integrated services ensuring work schedules are followed
6. Supervise staff to ensure they maintain safe systems of work
7. Ensure high standards of personal and general food hygiene are achieved throughout the department
8. Report any faults to line manager
9. Ensure staff only use equipment/materials as instructed
10. Supervise staff to ensure they work in a safe manner and give consideration to others around them
11. Counsel staff regarding work performance and document outcomes
12. Assist in the organisation of staff rotas
13. Help to arrange cover for staff absence
14. Carry out and assist staff with PDP process
15. Deal with client complaints in the first instance
16. Ensure self assessment is carried out
17. Ensure team briefs are held
18. Ensure all paperwork associated with the position is completed within prescriptive timescales
19. Ensure all statutory and Divisional procedures are followed
20. Provide induction training and thereafter ongoing workbase training as required
21. Ensure stock level are maintained and stock control is in place
22. Provide supporting information to all payroll compilation
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
23. Knowledge of all aspects of Integrated Service as in job purpose (Induction training provided)
24. Training in the use of all machinery used (Training provided)
25. Knowledge of Health and Safety (Training provided)
26. Knowledge of COSHH (Training provided)
27. Knowledge of Lifting and Handling (Training provided)
28. Basic Food Hygiene certificate (Training provided)
29. Knowledge of Infection Control practices (Training provided)
30. Supervisory training (training provided)
31. Driving licence is desirable
