Civil Engineering Project Manager
About the Role
The Civil Engineering Project Manager will oversee offshore wind and HVDC interconnector projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence. The role involves coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The position requires approximately 50% travel to client sites, with a company car provided.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage project scope, schedule, costs, and quality.
* Procure and manage consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers from design to delivery.
* Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks and opportunities.
* Act as Contract Administrator under NEC3/4, FIDIC, or custom contracts.
* Draft and manage subcontract documentation, including scope, specifications, drawings, and reports.
* Lead technical and progress meetings.
* Coordinate with civil design managers to ensure documentation flow aligns with project timelines.
* Track scope changes and assess impacts on schedule and budget.
* Support innovation and compliance with regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience in Civil Engineering, Construction, or Infrastructure sectors.
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies.
* Excellent communication skills for technical and commercial issues.
* Flexible and proactive attitude, willing to work on-site and in-office.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety, Environmental, and Planning regulations.
* Proficient in MS Office 365.
* Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar.
* Chartered or working towards chartership with ICE, CIOB, RICS, or CICES preferred.
