Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) with advanced skills in acute inpatient services and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES). The role is based at Newham University Hospital (NUH) within the Barts Health group.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical and site expertise to the SLT team, supporting development in line with service and Trust objectives.
* Lead the training and organization of the FEES service at NUH.
* Support the clinical lead in delivering competency development to staff and provide supervision.
* Take service‑wide responsibility for specified projects, responding to and managing change.
* Develop the FEES service and support other competency frameworks and improvement projects.
* Lead on service development, quality improvement and devise and implement teaching and training.
Leadership & Teamwork
Strong leadership, interpersonal and team‑working skills are essential. Work alongside the NUH therapies leadership team to manage change and provide clinical leadership.
