We are supporting a major high-end vehicle manufacturer in strengthening their capability within foundation braking systems. This role focuses on designing, developing, and validating robust braking components and systems that support both vehicle development and manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute vehicle-level testing of braking systems, including ABS, ESC, regenerative braking, and hydraulic brake components. Support palliative development activities to address interim feature or calibration gaps. Collect, process, and analyse test data from vehicle runs, HIL rigs, and simulation environments. Validate braking performance against functional, safety, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams; controls, calibration, systems engineering to diagnose issues and support system integration. Document test procedures, results, and raise engineering change requests where required. Must-Have Skills Proven experience in automotive brakes design and development for an OEM or Tier-1/Tier-2 supplier. Strong understanding of vehicle brake systems, mechanical components, and system interactions. Proficient in 3D CAD tools (CATIA V6, 3DX) with strong 2D manufacturing drawing capability. Solid knowledge of manufacturing techniques, design optimisation, and component verification at component, system, and vehicle level. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and lead the resolution of business, technical, and process issues. Good working knowledge of product creation & delivery, change control, and change management processes. Skilled in structured problem-solving methodologies and root-cause analysis. If you have a strong background in braking systems and want to contribute to the development of next-generation premium vehicles, feel free to reach out for a confidential discussion.
