SEN Support Assistant – Specialist Schools

£14.25 per hour
Teaching Personnel are recruiting SEN Support Assistants to work across specialist primary and secondary schools in Southampton that support pupils with EHCPs.
These schools support students with a range of needs including:
* Autism (ASC)
* ADHD
* Learning difficulties
* Communication needs
* SEMH challenges
Your responsibilities
* Supporting pupils in the classroom
* Working with small groups and individuals
* Encouraging independence and engagement
* Helping students develop social and emotional skills
We welcome applicants with experience in:
* Education or schools
* Youth work
* Care or residential support
* Camp America
* Sports coaching
* Health or medical settings
Requirements
* Minimum 4 days availability per week
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
* Passion for supporting children with additional needs
Schools are located across Southampton with excellent transport links.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
