This role will involve teaching a class of SLD pupils and providing them with tailored, effective learning experiences to help them achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a special primary school and will be qualified to teach students with SLD. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver individualised education plans (IEPs) for SLD students, ensuring their learning needs are met. Create a positive, inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and can thrive. Collaborate closely with other teachers, SEN support staff, and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for students. Use differentiated teaching methods to cater to a range of learning needs within the classroom. Manage behavioural challenges and ensure that students are supported emotionally and academically. Maintain accurate records of progress and contribute to reporting on students' development. Provide personal care support where needed and assist with manual handling. Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Previous experience working in a special primary school with SLD pupils. A solid understanding of how to support SLD students in a classroom setting, using effective strategies for learning and behaviour management. A compassionate, patient, and creative approach to teaching students with additional needs. Enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) or a willingness to obtain one.
