If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join #teamSHSC as our Head of Service for the Acute and Community Directorate, and to lead the delivery of high-quality mental health care to the communities of Sheffield.
Responsibilities
* Hold core responsibility for the performance and operation of the Acute and Community Directorate.
* Lead the delivery of high-quality care, ensuring alignment of priorities with strategic objectives.
* Provide leadership to colleagues and partners through a collaborative, visionary, and motivational approach.
* Work with senior leaders to enable system collaboration, partnership, and effective resource management.
* Address complex and occasionally contentious matters with resilience and positivity, guiding colleagues to resolve difficulties.
* Develop and maintain close working relationships with the Clinical Director, Head of Nursing, Psychology and Allied Health Professional leaders, and other Directorate stakeholders.
* Support the Senior Head of Service to work with Local Authorities and other system stakeholders on service-specific issues.
Context and Relationships
The Acute and Community Directorate contains a diverse portfolio of community and inpatient services. Each service line is led by a General Manager, reporting to the Head of Service. Partnerships are critical to the role to ensure safe and effective service delivery now and in the future.
