Royal Mail is delivering one of the most significant technology transformations in its history. Our Future ERP Programme will replace a fragmented, end‑of‑life SAP estate with a modern SAP S/4HANA platform that will simplify operations, strengthen commercial performance, modernise Finance, Procurement and HR, and enable a more agile, data‑driven organisation.
This is a rare opportunity to join a once‑in‑a‑generation transformation that will shape how Royal Mail operates for years to come.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to play a key role in defining, shaping and delivering the new SAP S/4HANA landscape. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects and SAP functional teams to ensure requirements are clear, aligned and deliverable across multiple business domains.
You’ll be central to understanding how the organisation works today, designing how it should work tomorrow, and ensuring the programme delivers meaningful business value.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading and facilitating workshops to elicit, challenge and refine business, functional and non‑functional requirements.
* Producing clear, concise and testable requirements for delivery teams.
* Maintaining requirements traceability and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
* Conducting impact assessments on change requests and understanding cross‑functional implications.
* Supporting the qualification and quantification of business benefits.
* Analysing AS‑IS and TO‑BE processes and performing gap analysis across Finance, Commercial, Procurement and HR.
* Working closely with SAP functional consultants to validate design and identify gaps.
* Supporting test planning, test case creation, functional testing and UAT.
* Operating across multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced, multi‑supplier environment.
* Engaging and influencing senior stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope, priorities and constraints.
* Providing subject‑matter expertise in at least one core business domain.
* Supporting deployment, hypercare and continuous improvement activities.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst on large‑scale ERP transformation programmes, ideally SAP S/4HANA.
* Strong understanding of Finance, Procurement, Commercial and/or HR processes.
* Skilled in requirements engineering, process modelling, data analysis and root cause analysis.
* Confident facilitator with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Proficient in Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and industry‑standard BA tools.
* Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, LeanIX or SAP Cloud ALM (desirable).
* Comfortable working in complex, integrated technology landscapes with multiple suppliers.
* A self‑starter who is resilient, adaptable and solution‑focused.
* Customer‑centric mindset with a drive to deliver value efficiently.
Why Join Us?
* Be part of a flagship transformation programme with long‑term strategic impact.
* Work with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams across a major UK organisation.
* Shape the future of Royal Mail’s core business processes and technology landscape.
* Enjoy a collaborative, supportive environment with opportunities for growth and development.
If you’re passionate about driving meaningful change and want to be part of a major SAP S/4HANA transformation, we’d love to hear from you.
What tone would you like for the final version—more corporate, more energetic, or more candidate‑centric?
