Business Architect Rate: £650 - £750 per day outside IR35 Location: Remote working with ad hoc presence required onsite - Corsham Essential Security Classification : Live SC clearance Programme Duration : 11 months with extension options. Role Purpose The Business Architect shall provide strategic business architecture expertise across a complex MOD R&D environment, supporting defence transformation, capability development, organisational change, operating model design and strategic modernisation initiatives. The role supports the translation of Defence strategy into business capabilities, operating models, governance frameworks, business processes and transformation roadmaps. Responsibilities include ensuring alignment between strategic objectives, operational outcomes, people, process, information and technology investments. The role contributes towards delivery of operational advantage, organisational effectiveness and value realisation by providing a coherent business architecture framework supporting capability development and defence innovation. Strategic alignment with UK Defence modernisation objectives, Integrated Force concepts, Defence Reform and future operating models is essential. Essential Experience Significant business architecture experience within defence, government or highly regulated environments. Experience supporting major transformation and organisational change programmes. Experience delivering business architecture within MOD, NATO or public sector programmes. Experience developing operating models, capability maps and transformation roadmaps. Strong understanding of defence capability development and organisational design. Experience facilitating senior stakeholder workshops and decision-making forums. Experience supporting complex programme and portfolio environments. Familiarity with defence acquisition, governance and capability planning processes.
