Main duties
* Provide specialist risk and governance management, guidance and advice.
* Lead investigations and deliver outcomes; ensure feedback and lessons learned are shared following clinical investigations.
* Maintain a high degree of autonomy to manage highly complex and sensitive cases in an effective, timely and responsive manner.
* Support and deputise for the Maternity Risk and Governance Manager in the management of the relevant area.
Job Summary
The Maternity Risk and Governance Team is looking for a Lead Midwife on a permanent basis. The post holder will ensure standards are maintained to deliver safe, high-quality patient care and will support the senior management team, divisional director and trust board as required. Responsibilities include developing and managing maternity clinical governance processes, incident reporting and investigation, and risk management to support learning and reduce risk within the maternity department.
