We are seeking to appoint a full or part time, term time only Science Technician to support the learning of science by ensuring that all practical, demonstration and assessment requirements are met on time and safely. This a key role within the department and involves the preparation of laboratory practicals; ensuring apparatus, equipment and chemicals provided are in a serviceable condition whilst maintaining high standards of health & safety. Strong communication and organisational skills are key to this position. Our ideal candidate will have a keen interest in science and possess a science qualification. Previous experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous but is not essential as full training can be provided. We were delighted to be awarded a ‘Good’ rating by Ofsted in March 2023, this recognises the hard work and progress made by all in the school.
