I am seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Business Book Editor to oversee the editorial process for nonfiction titles in the business and professional development genre. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in developmental editing, copyediting, and proofreading, with the ability to shape complex concepts into clear, engaging, and market-ready content. Responsibilities include reviewing manuscripts for clarity, structure, and flow; ensuring consistency in tone and style; fact-checking and verifying sources; and collaborating closely with authors to refine ideas. A strong understanding of business terminology, trends, and audience expectations is essential. Prior experience in book publishing, particularly in the business genre, is preferred. The first book sits at around 41,000 words. The timeline for this edit is two weeks from hire. PLEASE NOTE: I will only accept native English speakers with a strong preference for US-based editors.
