About Us

The Dudley Disability Service is looking to recruit three permanent Assistant Care Coordinator’s, this is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work with a developing and motivated team that aims to support people, their families and carers to explore, plan and access appropriate housing, support, social, leisure, learning and employment opportunities.

We are seeking creative and enthusiastic individuals to work within the service who can ensure a strengths-based approach is applied in practice, to promote wellbeing and independence by supporting people to access resources, make informed choices and build new relationships enabling them to live in their own home and participate as active citizens of Dudley.

You will be expected to support the operations of the service including duty, respond to a wide range of contacts and agencies and contribute to the development of Multi-Disciplinary work.

Successful applicants will need to have a good understanding of how individuals can be supported to maximise their independence, improve health and well-being in a coordinated way. You will be expected to manage tasks with management oversight, identifying any adults who may be at risk of abuse or neglect.

You will have experience of working in adult social care, a commitment to empowerment and strengths-based approaches. You will also need to be committed to diversity and a non-judgemental approach.

Some knowledge of adult social care, mental health and mental capacity legislation would be beneficial.

An experience of working with adults who have care and support needs is desirable.

We are a very supportive team who offer regular supervision and reflection to develop your knowledge, skills, and practice.
