Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for young people with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs are required in Berkshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We support children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Berkshire. Our team keeps the team around the child, and you will be supported throughout every placement by our SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who want to work 1:1 with children and young people with a variety of learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support learners referred by local authorities and schools, assisting their educational and social-emotional journey
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions aligned to the learner’s needs and progression
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years of teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with the right to work in the UK, including remote/online work
It is a strict requirement to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and to follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment Status
* Engagements are offered as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service with PAYE payment
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* Not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
