Role Description
This full‑time, on‑site role as a Children’s Residential Care Worker is based in Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will support young people in care, providing day‑to‑day assistance, emotional support, and safeguarding their well‑being. Duties include planning and supervising daily activities, maintaining accurate records, supporting educational objectives, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment that promotes personal growth and development. Collaboration with team members and external professionals is an integral part of the role.
Qualifications
* Childcare and safeguarding skills, including knowledge of health and safety practices and child protection policies
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals
* Organizational and time‑management skills for maintaining records and planning activities
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging behaviors constructively
* Experience in residential care or working directly with young people is highly beneficial
* Relevant certifications such as Level 4 in Residential Childcare or equivalent are preferred
* A valid driver’s license is advantageous
