Role: Senior Pensions Admin
Location: London (Hybrid – 1 day per week in the office)
Duration: 12 Months
Rate: £350 - £400 per day (Inside IR35)
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established in‑house pensions team where you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality support to members across Defined Benefit, Cash Balance, and Defined Contribution schemes.
The Role
As a Senior Pensions Administrator, you will be responsible for administering a range of pension events with accuracy, professionalism, and efficiency. You'll focus primarily on leaver and retirement calculations, producing member statements, and issuing finalised entitlements through the online member portal. You’ll also support wider day‑to‑day administration tasks including transfers in/out and responding to member queries.
This role suits someone detail‑focused, proactive, and confident in managing their own workload in a busy and technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete leaving, retirement, and other pension calculations for DB, DC, and Cash Balance scheme members.
* Generate leaver and retirement statements and issue them to members following internal checks.
* Carry out both automated and occasional manual pension calculations.
* Respond to member queries via phone and email in a professional, friendly, and informative manner.
* Prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet required turnaround times.
* Ensure accuracy and compliance across all administrative tasks.
Essential experience & skills:
* Extensive experience in pensions administration.
* Strong technical knowledge of DB and DC pension schemes.
* Previous experience with leaver and retirement calculations
* Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing directly with members.
* High degree of numeracy and attention to detail.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Comfortable working with systems and technology.
