We’re currently looking for SMART Meter Engineer Support Agents with electricity & gas meter experience to join our growing Field Debt Solutions team. Here you’ll play an important role in helping our customers resolve their debts. You’ll work with our customers to support them with any future payments, install PAYG where it’s the best option, and help them find ways to reduce energy consumption.
We’ll provide you with all the equipment you need: smartphone, tablet, tools, uniform, vehicle, and fuel card. We’ll train you to install SMART meters the E.ON way and to offer the right payment options to our customers. After your training, you’ll have the opportunity to earn extra through our achievable reward scheme, based on delivering great outcomes to our customers.

Key responsibilities include
* Delivering excellent service by understanding customer circumstances and helping them resolve their debt.
* Planning efficient routes to reduce carbon footprint.
* Conducting investigations, collating evidence, and obtaining information.
* Identifying new tenants through face-to-face discussions, letting agents, and neighbors while complying with DPA.
* Exchanging meters to SMART Pay as You Go or Classic Prepayment.
* Leading warrant teams to access customer premises for meter exchanges or disconnections when necessary.
* Recording job information using paperwork or electronic devices.
* Ensuring access to broadband at home to upload daily data; a set monthly broadband allowance is included in your salary.
What we need from you
* A full valid UK/EU driving license (preferably clean, with a maximum of 6 points).
* MOCOPA/CMA1/MET2 certifications.
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
* Residency within the area and willingness to travel.
* Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Here's what else you need to know
* The salary is up to £41,791, including a base salary of £39,451, revenue protection work (added after training), gas metering allowance, and an on-target reward scheme with potential earnings up to an additional £4,800 for high performance.
* This is a permanent role.
